Jackie's Dream--In Memoriam

I created this image in memory of Dr. Kristine Weaver, Los Alamos, NM, who passed away on June 24, 2010. She was Jackie's veterinarian. Dr. Weaver was kind, caring, intelligent, and compassionate. She operated on Jackie's nose to open up his nasal passages so that he could breathe more easily. Not only could he breathe better, but he could smell things better, too, and for the first days following surgery he ran around the house smelling everything, as if for the first time.   How much Kristine Weaver helped him!   Her love for animals was a great love. The thing that I will always remember about her is that she was a nice person to have by your side-- it just felt good to be near her.
 

Jackie turned four this July 4th. He is a lively boy and every day he plays with his friend Mully. So those are the images of his dream; Jackie and Mully being together. One of Jackie's strengths is that he is good eater. He embodies the much-loved Winne the Pooh quotation, It is more fun to talk with someone who doesn't use long, difficult words but rather short, easy words like "What about lunch?"
